Buddhist Pilgrimage on Trip to India

India is a country where multiple religions have flourished and it has several sites for pilgrims to visit belonging to almost every religion including Buddhism.

A pilgrimage is one of the longest journeys undertaken in search of religious emancipation and spiritual excellence. India, a multi religious domain has something for every pilgrim. For instance; numerous Buddhist temples offer great opportunities for Buddhist pilgrimage.

It was India where the great saint Goutam Buddha preached the new religion based on non-violence and peaceful coexistence and love for all, Buddhism.

Especially, Patna, the capital city of Bihar and formerly known as Pataliputra was the seat of the famous Mauryan Empire and one of the greatest Buddhist centers in the country.
